Are women you just met, women on a date, and women you don’t even know calling you a jerk?! Do you know why?
Are you being given the silent treatment after just a few dates and don’t know why? You are probably a jerk.
Despite popular belief, being a jerk is not a good thing! Women don’t like jerks. Maybe in the beginning because the jerk seems like a challenge, but not for a long-term relationship or, moreover, a happy relationship!
Why Are You A Jerk?
Well, I can’t tell you that. But I can tell you some things that you do to make you a jerk around women.
1. You are focused on yourself
It’s funny because women are often portrayed as being ‘all about themselves’ on dates. They talk about themselves and focus on themselves – but the truth is that many guys do this too. And if you are bad at listening to women, but great about talking about yourself, then you are going to be called a jerk.
Women find men like that self-absorbed, and it is hard to feel close to someone like that. If you interrupt her, don’t listen, or don’t bother to ask her anything about herself, then she will feel as if you and her don’t relate and you will not get another date.
2. You make fun of her
It’s charming in kindergarten, but after that it becomes annoying. A woman wants a man who validates her feelings and sympathizes with her, not makes fun of her because she is doing something that you don’t agree with or feels something you think is hilarious.
For instance, if she cries over the loss of a pet, and you make fun of her in any way, then you are instantly a jerk to her. Keep in mind that you don’t have to say anything to send her the wrong message…you just have to look at her the wrong way to tell her that you are jerk. So pay attention to your body language too.
3. You act like a player
I see a lot of advice from guys to be a player around women, but I advise against it. Unless you want to be labeled a jerk in a woman’s eyes.
A woman doesn’t want to think that you are hitting on every other woman out there. That’s a turn off, not a turn on. And if you even hint at your ‘player’ status, then you will have women labeling you as a jerk very quickly.
Remember this: Women do not want a man who is semi-interested in them. Many women have been hurt by jerks who have cheated and flirted with other women, and if you resonate that personality, they will be turned off instantly.
4. You poke fun at her dreams, beliefs, or desires
If she wants to be a mechanic, and you tell her that’s ridiculous, then you are a jerk. Telling a woman what she can and can not dream about in life is very, very bad.
A man who supports her and uplifts her is a man that she is looking for, so try to remember that as she shares intimate details with you about herself.
