On a first date, there are many red flags to watch for. Why would you want to? Because, later on in your relationship when you are feeling miserable and trapped, you will have wished that you DID look for those red flags.
The truth is that red flags on a first date are anything that indicates she is going to be someone you don’t want, including possessive, stupid, drug addicted, egotistic, mean, money-hungry….whatever.

Other Red Flags To Watch For
There are some other red flags that you may want to watch for too…
1. They Showed Up Late And Made You Wait
This is a sign that they are not a woman you can count on. Very rarely will a woman show up late for her first date. And, unless she got into an accident on the way, she didn’t take showing up on time very seriously.
Chances are she is more concerned with her own schedule than she is about yours, and this could be a trend throughout the relationship.
2. She Talks About Herself The Whole Date
A woman should be interested in what you have to say, who you are, where you are going. If she’s not, how can she know if you are someone that will complement her in life?
If she talks about herself the whole date, then she is concerned with herself, not you. Chances are she is very egotistic, and that is not a trait that dies out quickly. From that point, it takes a lot of self-help tapes to become aware of the world outside of yourself – and, to become really concerned about it.
3. She Willingly Talks About Or Shows Off Her Flaws
The first date is about showing you her good qualities, and if she willingly shows you her flaws, she is either testing you to see how much you can take of her flaws, or she is not aware that she has some really bad flaws.
Flaws include:
- Being overly dramatic
- Criticizing everything and everyone
- Doing drugs
- Acting irrationally
- Calling her ex boyfriend on the date
- Complains about her life
- Fishes for compliments or encouragement
4. She Goes To The Bathroom More Than Twice
Some wine can cause any woman to go to the bathroom a few times, but if she is there like it is her home, then that is a huge red flag to watch for.
She is either: calling her lover to make excuses, calling her friends to talk about how bad the date is going, calling her friends for advice about the date, puking up her food, or just trying to avoid you. None of those things are going to bode well in the future.
5. She Will Not Give You A Straight Answer To Easy Questions
You ask her what her pet’s name is and she says, “Uh, hold on a sec,” as she takes another bite of food and then completely changes the subject.
There are just some questions that are not hard to answer, and if she unwilling to do so then she is hiding something for you. This makes this a huge red flag to watch for,and I wouldn’t go past the first date if I were you.
